Steel Design Software

"Member Resistance Design To BS 5950" Software is a software for engineers to design and check steel strengths of various profile sections. I personally developed this software myself using Visual Studio C#. It is a quite a comprehensive software in that it is able to check and design strength of steel members of various profile sections covering I sections, C Sections, Square Hollow Sections (SHS), Rectangular Hollow Sections (RHS), and Circular Hollow Sections (CHS). Work flow is built in such a user friendly way that user can select a size from a list or customize size, and then input the various forces such as tension force Ft, compression force Fc, moment in x direction Mx, moment in y direction My, torsion MLT and other relevant properties of steel such as steel design strength py, modulus of elasticity E, and member lengths, in the edit yellow fields and then press "Calculate" button in green. At the end there is a "Summary" page of the calculations and results. All strength resistance checks, unity checks and all other required checks are carried out strictly in accordance to British Standard 5950.
